Meet Doctor Burns:

Dr. Charles Burns has been a licensed chiropractor since 1961. He began helping patients regain and improve their health in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada before building and administrating a large multi-doctor health clinic on Main Street in the nearby town of Leduc. Always active in his community and church, Dr. Burns served as a past president of Rotary, International in Canada.

In addition to graduating in 1960 from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. Burns completed post-graduate study in the B. J. Palmer Research Clinic in Davenport, Iowa where patients came from around the globe seeking treatment from the first and best chiropractic college in the world.

After moving to San Diego in 1976, Dr. Burns started his chiropractic practice in the East County (La Mesa/Spring Valley) area where he continues to help patients regain health and vitality. As well as being active in his local church, Dr. Burns is a member of The International Chiropractic Association of California, The International Foundation for Nutrition and Health, and The Foundation of Nutritional Therapy.

Throughout his career, Dr. Burns has pursued new techniques and protocols in order to provide the best results for his patients. In addition to becoming proficient in the Activator Technique, Dr. Burns was certified in the Brimhall Technique of Energy Medicine encompassing nutrition, allergy testing, toxicity removal, laser therapy, and percussion therapy. He also offers Contact Reflex Analysis, a method of determining nutritional needs and has qualified for certification by completing all levels of training in the Neuro-Emotional Technique.

Always committed to cutting-edge technology for the benefit of his patients, Dr. Burns has invested in and operates a Bio-Meridian machine that measures electrical “circuits” in the body that provide critical information about specific organs and systems. Dr. Burns will consider a variety of possible protocols, including dietary and lifestyle changes, supplementation, and other natural means to bring abnormal electrical patterns into equilibrium.

In seeking the health and vitality of each patient, Dr. Burns treats the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of each person, thus benefiting each patient to the fullest possible extent and providing a uniquely personalized experience in healing and wellness. Happily married to Fern for 48+ years, Dr. Burns and his wife enjoy spending time with their three children and eight healthy grandchildren.
